Q:
What is involved in digitizing?
A:
Digitizing or "punching" is the process by which we take an image or
picture and turn it into stitching. This image can be your logo or
almost anything else. We
can also create the design to your specifications or you may pick from
our catalog of designs.
Q:
Can I have you do my digitizing without doing the stitching?
A:
We will just digitize your design if that is your need. We can
also digitize it and do the embroidery.
Q:
Can I send my digitized artwork in for you to stitch?
A:
Yes, we will sew your digitized artwork. However, if we find that
the design is not digitized correctly then it will have to either be
edited or re-digitized. We will leave this decision up to you.
Q:
What file formats can I send my artwork to you in?
A:
Camera ready artwork is the best. You may also send the artwork in a
JPEG (at least 300dpi), TIFF, BMP, DXF, CDR, AI, EPS, HPGL, AFF format. If you are not sure, just give us a call and we will help.
Q:
What is the maximum number of garments you can output in a day?
A:
The maximum number of garments sewn in a day will vary. This is because of the
difference in design size (stitches), number of colors, what kind of
material the garment is made of, etc.
Q:
Do you have any "high profile" customers you have done work for?
A:
We have done work for many "high profile" customers. Some include
but are not limited to: Suburban Extended Stay, South GA Medical Center,
Valdosta State University, several state, city and county agencies, many
local charities, many local schools and sports teams. We also do
work for small businesses.
Q:
Is there a minimum number of items I must order?
A:
There are no minimums for embroidery orders. For apparel screen printing,
there is a minimum of 12.
Q:
Will I have to pay a setup fee?
A:
Your one-time digitizing charge for your design is the set up for
embroidery. If changes have to be made to accommodate other items in the
future, there may be a small editing fee. For screen printing, there is
an art charge which is also a one time fee.
Q:
How much does digitizing cost?
A:
Digitizing costs vary depending on the number of stitches in the
finished design, complexity & detail of the design. Prices range from
$35 for a very simple design to $250 or more for very detailed large
designs. We use only the number of stitches required for a quality,
smooth sewing with minimum jumps & trims.
Q:
Will I be able to see a stitched sample of my design before it
is embroidered?
A:
We can provide you with a computer rendering of your design. This can
be emailed to you or printed out at no charge. There is a small fee
depending on the size of design, for a stitched sample.
Q:
Can anything be embroidered?
A:
Most items brought in to us can be embroidered. Occasionally, we
encounter items that simply will not fit on our machines or that needles
will not go through. Generally, we can handle a wide range of items.
This items range from very delicate items such as
handkerchiefs to leather items such as motorcycle vests.
Q:
What kind of embroidery equipment do you use?
A:
Currently, we have a Brother BES 1240 four-head & a Brother 416 single head
embroidery machines located on our premises. We use Ethos software for
digitizing, lettering & setting up designs.
Q:
Do you have shirts, hats, etc on hand or do I need to bring in
my own?
A:
We have several catalogs that you may browse through. You may choose from many brands of
apparel, hats, etc. and we can order them for you. Prices quoted for items
include standard embroidery. You may also bring in your own items,
preferably new & not laundered. Embroidery prices are based on the
stitch count of the design and/or the number of items. |
